Joe Carroll, one of Brooklyn’s top restauranteurs and the creator and
owner of critically acclaimed restaurants Fette Sau, St. Anselm, Spuyten Duyvil, and the Michelin Starred Semilla, opens Casino Clam Bar in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Teaming up with Jeremiah Del Sol, former head chef at Bar Bolonat,
they have created Casino as an elevated and modern take on the
Jersey Shore clam bars where both Joe and Jeremiah grew up eating at on summer vacations.
The intimate jewel box space seats just 18 guests along a central U
shaped counter where they can casually snack on a wide range of
seafood and drink from a well curated beer and wine list featuring Joe’s signature mix of classic producers and young natural wine makers.
The menu is a great mix of old and new classics from clam chowder and uni pasta to a large steamer pot filled with a variety of shellfish for two to share.
Paired on the menu with Joe and Jeremiah's recipes are a small
selection of Spanish conservas and Petrossian caviars. Cavihour will feature shockingly inexpensive caviar, conserva, Champagne and sparkling wine.
Casino Clam Bar is located at 160 Havemeyer (#5) in
Williamsburg, Brooklyn, serving dinner 7 nights a week,
5-11pm Monday - Sunday.
